4 months already?!

I took Caroline to the Doctor today for her four month checkup. She is doing so GREAT! I couldn't wait to see how much she weighed and how long she was...WOW! She weighs in at 15 lbs 10 oz. and is 26 inches long! She is just beautiful and SO much fun now that she is more active. The doctor was very pleased with her progress thus far and couldn't get over how bright eyed and smiley our girl was today. Caroline is now in the 97 percentile for height and weight! She is going to be a big girl soon :) Recently we asked my sister to borrow her excersaucer before she sold it and Caroline LOVED it. She spends time in it everyday and just goes to town! She is grabbing at everything-her big favorites are my hair and anyone's lips...yes she grabs them and then digs her fingers in :) the little doll. She is trying to roll over like a log and is trying to use the tips of her toes as well as her face to start to creep. She usually gets a pinkish hue to her nose and forehead from the blanket on the floor at least once a day. And, the doctor asked me today if she has begun watching us while we eat. YES!!! A great big yes!! I am almost upet about it and don't want to eat if she is in the room. Her little mouth hangs open and she stares you down...you just wait for her to drool. The other day she was on Brad's lap and I watched as she kept her eyes on his fork all the way from picking food up on the plate until it reached his mouth...I couldn't believe it. The doctor said this meant one thing and I had to make a stop on the way home. Yes, Caroline had her first taste of rice cereal tonight! She hated it. I got maybe three big spoonfulls to stay in there but she kept making faces and spitting it out. Very cute and fun for Brad and I to watch.

The Motherload :)

My first mother's day with Caroline was UH-MAZE-ING!!!! Wow, what a GREAT weekend. Brad has been working second shift the last few weeks so it was very nice to be able to be together so much. My mother's day started on Saturday in my opinion when Brad helped me so much by cleaning the house. We are talking washing dishes, cleaning bathrooms and everything! Then, he made me lay down and rest with him while Caroline took one of her naps...heavenly! Sunday morning they gave me my gift and I was so surprised about my card. Brad has never given a sentimental card...he always goes for the humor or cute card. But, he and Caroline got me the most beautiful card. I picked out a pair of new PJ's a few weeks ago as part of my gift and Brad let me have them then so I could start wearing them so yesterday I got a new flag for my garden flag stake. My sister hosted brunch for our family and then we headed home to prepare dinner for us and my parents. Dinner was also absolutely UH-MAZE-ING!! We went all out and finished the day off on a high note. After everyone left my hubby even suggested watching a new movie on demand after Caroline went to bed and it was just the two of us. I slept so well after my great day that I don't even remember saying good bye to Brad this morning :)

Wisconsin or Bust!

This is late in coming but I had to talk about Caroline's first trip to Wisconsin...she made it and loved it! We spent all day Friday in the car but once we got to Grandma and Grandpa's house the fun began. She got to spend so much time with all of Brad's family and they all doted on her and she smiled and giggled all weekend. We went to celebrate Caleb's First Communion and really enjoyed the weekend. We split the drive home between Sunday night and Monday morning and that was the BEST thing I've ever done....what a lOoooooong trip home :) It was complete with a explosive diaper on Caroline's part and washing her dress in the bathroom at the Oasis and then it ended on a high note when Brad somehow walked into the open tailgate and scratched his face. (please do not ask how, he explained it four times to me and I still don't understand) But, all in all her first of many trips to Wisconsin was a success and filled with lots of family fun time.
